Our dynamic and growing company is seeking a Superintendent to service residential construction projects located between Brunswick and Waldoboro, Maine. We are a collaborative team of construction professionals, craftsmen, and architects who share a vision of exceptional design and are dedicated to making thoughtful buildings.
As a Residential Superintendent servicing the lower Mid-Coast area, you will be the eyes on the ground and a reliable representative of our company who will collaborate to deliver top-quality workmanship for our custom high-end residential projects.
You will be expected to:
- Check-in regularly on all contract documents, subcontractor documents, drawings and specifications, shop drawings, schedules, and local codes.
- Provide documentation of field differences and developments.
- Coordinate with Subcontractors regularly and ensure project schedules are met.
- Review workload regularly and follow up with the Project Manager for timely delivery of materials and work.
- Coordinate among various trades and ensure subcontractor compliance with plans, specifications, and codes/regulations.
- Oversee that site cleanliness and organization are maintained.
- Ensure the quality installation of all details and products.
- Identify and communicate any issues with quality or schedule to the Project Manager and work to remedy any outstanding issues.
- Prepare reports and share project update photos, as requested.
- Calculate material quantity needs as requested.
- Interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner when they are on-site.
- Collaborate with field crews with a positive attitude.
- Perform skilled carpentry tasks or job-specific operations as needed.
Qualified candidates will demonstrate the following:
- 4+ years of supervisory experience in high-end residential construction
- Ease with technology and construction sets – ability to use GSuite
- Experience managing a crew as well as coordinating with tradespeople
- A dedication to fine details yet an ability to see the big picture
- Solid problem solving and communication skills
- An enthusiasm for craftsmanship
- A positive attitude and a team player
- Ability to run a safe job site
- Knowledge of Maine building code
- OSHA 10 Certification
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work sites
